Description

Casa Blend

This exceptional blend is comprised of five exceptional producers throughout the South of Minas and

Cerrado Mineiro regions of Brazil. Our partners in Guaxupé, SMC, helped organize the perfect blend to

represent these regions. Each of these producers are members of the large cooperative, Cooxupé. This

program is helping coffee growers gain access to the specialty market.

The following are the farms contributing coffee for the Casa Blend:

Fazenda Chapadão

Sebastião Curimbaba followed in his father’s footsteps when he took over Fazenda Chapadão, pursuing various entrepreneurial opportunities in the town of Fortaleza de Minas. He has recently retired, and the farm is now run and managed by Carlos Emídio and José Osvaldo, who continue to produce excellent coffee.

Sítio São José

In the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil, Marcos Vedovotto and his family run and manage various coffee farms. They utilize a close-knit family system to ensure high quality beans are produced. Marcos is pictured with his mother, Maria Aparecida, and his father, José Vedovotto who support him thanks to their experience and passion with coffee.

Sítio Douradinha

Situated within the town of Juruaia, Adenísio de Araújo grows exceptional coffee. When he was younger, Adenísio joined his brother picking coffee and working at the mill until he finally purchased his own coffee farm. Currently, he works with his son, Vitor Hugo, who is a certified agronomist, and wife, Sirlei, to produce excellent-quality coffee.

Sítio Gourita

Edison Ferreira Cardoso began his work in coffee at a young age when he started working at a large farm in Nova Resende. He soon convinced his father to plant coffee on their land in 1986, and the land soon became Sítio Gourita. With his wife Kerli and their children, Junior, and Maria Eduarda, they are able to grow some exceptional specialty coffees.

Ouro de Minas Estate

Claudeci de Araújo began to learn about coffee as a child when his family purchased a plot of land in 1977.

Over time, this area grew to become the Ouro de Minas Estate, and Claudeci currently works with his brothers and sons to manage the land located in the town of Juruaia.
